To the Future,

Where is the Earth now? What does it look like? Have you learned to sustain your home? Maybe be you have and maybe you haven’t, but either way you should cherish the life you have. Perhaps you have looked back at the shore where you live from the water, or maybe even the planet from above. What did it look like? Did it feel right? It should, shouldn’t it? It is home, isn’t it?

Have you done what you can? Or have you stood by and watched?  If you have just watched, start to do something and maybe lead others in doing. Especially if it feels like there is nothing you can do, because even then there is. You just need to start.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Rowan & Tristan,

I promise to do everything I can as a daughter to our great Mother Earth to protect her wildlife and trees.

Dear You Tomorrow,

What we failed to do, at least early on, was to see how important it was to put those solutions together. To combine into a way forward.

To my dear son,

Last year most of the world’s reefs turned white at some point, but because it was underwater you and your friends didn’t see.

Dear Seamus and Tuva,

So it’s 2050. If the good people are winning the greater struggle, fossil fuels are a shamefully long chapter of the past, and there has been a full scale awakening to the need for only renewable, clean energy.

I promise to stop eating junk food.

Dear future me,

I’m doing this work because I see it as the best way to save and improve as many lives as possible. I’m doing it so you, 2050 Ryan, can look at yourself in the mirror. And so you can tell your kids and grandkids someday that you did everything you could.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to buy organic food and run more and bike more! (I could use the exercise.)

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to try to set up crowd funding for grants to people with realistic proposals to fight climate change.

Dear Tomorrow

I will teach my children about a greener earth.

Dear future generations,

My hope for you is that you can have equal experiences with nature that I was able to have with my dad.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will eat vegan, organic, locally grown, and seasonal.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to use my reusable water bottle more often
