To my dear son Zac,

My dear, yesterday began your third spring in your life. Now I am writting a message to the future and I deeply hope it will be better than we have now. I am conscious about the climate changes and take actions now on our planet.  I promise to raise you as a loving-nature human.  As I always am and will teach you.

I love you very much and I love our planet. I hope you will behave in a best way on it with the great love inside your heart for every being.

Your mom,

Irene

More Messages to the Future

Dear Future Sami Lee,

Everyone currently in life laughs and yells save the bees. We were a bee this year for Halloween and Lucy even came up with a great slogan “get with it honey”.

Dear Tomorrow,

My climate promise is to use a refillable bottle, bring my own resusable spoon/form wherever I go, use clean personal care products (without chemicals).

Dear James,

More importantly, what are we doing to better our planet and everyone who lives in it?

Dear Alba:

There is still a lot of beauty and I will do what I can to keep it from slipping away.

Dear Tara,

I am sitting in a classroom thinking about you. Which is rare for me. I hope that our family has taken some initiative to do something about changing society instead of building robots and large houses.

Dear Sinchi,

The world is changing and it is happening fast.

Dear Madeline, Ava, and Harper,

What I wish most for you girls is that the care you have shown each other would extend to the big wide world around you.

Dear Ryan,

I hope that you start doing things that will help the world.

To my precious children,

As you’ve grown older, I’ve become increasingly aware that protecting you means more than ensuring your short-term safety. It also means ensuring that you’ll have a safe planet to live on.

Dear Tomorrow,

Be the person who shows up. Be the person who continues to advocate for change because change is possible – it is possible in the most partisan of politics.

Dear Tristan,

I am doing this to protect you, the food, water, air and biodiversity of a country that I love.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to change the culture of my school.
