Dear future self,

Covid 19 is a big pandemic and it’s shut down a lot of places. And we have to wear a mask everywhere we go but that shouldn’t stop us from reducing climate change.

But I hope that by 2050 everyone will have noticed this problem and do something about it so we can help restore the earth to what it was before the effects of global warming came into effect.

What I can do is do my best to eat all of my food on my plate so I don’t throw a lot away when I’m done. Which would reduce the about if trash we produce. Then the amount of trash that goes into the landfills would reduce. And less greenhouse gasses would be admitted by those landfills.

Climate change is a big deal and it effects a lot of habits and places around the earth. The polar ice capes are even unfreezing which is causing the water levels to rise and cause other problems.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Finn and Cy,

I think a lot about what you might be like when you grow up and about what kind of world you will live in.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I’ll replace our lights with LED lights.

Dear Madeleine,

First of all I hope we succeeded in our dream that yours is a better world than the world of 2021. Today, the forests are burning, the sea levels are rising and wild weather is everywhere. But we are working hard and I’m confident we will succeed.

Dear tomorrow,

If there’s one thing young people have learned while quarantining, it’s that Gen Z holds so much power and is capable of a lot more than we think. We’ve created a community that has united us all and started to bring about change for the good of our futures. Now, with the help of Gen Z (and of course, people of all ages), we have the power to save our home, the Earth.

To my daughter,

The climate is quite dynamic these days. Dhaka has dust and warm in this spring.

Rachel and Noelle,

I hope in a small way this helps your world.

Dear Kai and Leah,

I want you to feel awestruck like I do. It is important to feel small sometimes, to feel the weight of reality, to recognize the scale of a challenge, to see where you fit and what you are up against. This is the case with climate change.

To my future self,

It is today on March 6th, 2017 that you have made the decision to make a difference in this world.

Dear Tomorrow,

My climate promise is to use a refillable bottle, bring my own resusable spoon/form wherever I go, use clean personal care products (without chemicals).

Dear future me,

My hopes have always been to live in a brighter and better generation, where women are respected around the world, human rights are respected and last but not least where animals and mother nature is cared for by us individuals.

Annalu minha filha amada,

Espero de coração que, no futuro, você possa olhar para trás e se orgulhar muito dos pais que teve.

To my daughter and son,

Surrounded by scientists who shared my fears and visions, I often had a hard time to accept that outside our small community climate change received marginal attention.
