Dear Alice,

My mind fills with fear when I think of the world that we may inhabit in 2050. I hope that there is clean air,

Water,

Housing,

Oceans,

Fields to run in.

I wish so badly that I could promise you that we are going to be living in a world where the worries of climate change will be behind us, and I am so sorry if that does not come to fruition. I don’t have hopes of flying cars or teleportation, simply that things don’t get any worse for our earth. Perhaps they even get better.

My commitment to you is to help you invest in our community. Maybe we can get rid of our cars together, and buy bikes. My commitment is to love you and love our home.

Love always

I tried to teach you of the importance of being satisfied with what you had within your hands.

Dear Kai and Leah,

I want you to feel awestruck like I do. It is important to feel small sometimes, to feel the weight of reality, to recognize the scale of a challenge, to see where you fit and what you are up against. This is the case with climate change.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to go to the farmer’s market more

Dear Jamie and Jason,

My inspiration was the two of you. It started with thinking about the world you were inheriting and what your future was going to be like. But then you taught me how important it is to listen to you – to listen to young people.

Dear son,

Everyone should be grow at least 100 trees in his lifetime.

Dear future me,

My hopes have always been to live in a brighter and better generation, where women are respected around the world, human rights are respected and last but not least where animals and mother nature is cared for by us individuals.
