Dear 2050,

Right now in 2022 you’re going on marches to help change the world and reading mind changing, climate change books. But the world is still dying, and that is not changing and we’re coming up with plan Bs and not protecting the world that keeps us living. We need to do more as a world, but we can only change opinions of the people who lead us, we’re reliant on them. They must take power, take charge. Get us out of this hole that past generations have gotten us into. By Sunday W

More Messages to the Future

Dear Llewyn, beloved grandson …

I can only say that I devoted myself to doing as much as I could to make it better, to provide for a just transition, and to fight those forces that continued to exploit the Eaarth with extractive methods, methods that always also included oppressing some people–because those doing the oppression believed that they were better and deserved more.

Dear People Of The Future,

It’s scary, this is the stuff you see in movies about the end of the world.

Dear Tomorrow,

My climate promise is to stop using electricity too much.

To the future generations,

I will stand on the streets, in the courts, and in the schools to encourage awareness and empathy for the earth.

Queridos filhos Heloísa e Henzo,

Tenho muito orgulho da minha função (agente de fiscalização ambiental do Acre) pois é através dela que posso dar um pouco do meu suor, para que no futuro ambos possam ter um lugar melhor para viver.

I promise to plant trees and to turn off the lights.

Dear kids of America,

Please eliminate plastic everything

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to reach out to more people to ditch driving and consider using public transportation. I promise to convince Marin markets that sensible policies in density and mixed use planning will further enhance everyone’s quality of life.

Dear Amara and Uma,

Maybe you heard about bats? Bats, the carriers of this disease that spread among us like wild fire. I love bats. When I was your age today, sitting in the evening on the back terrace of your grandparent’s home in Ibiza, hundreds of bats would play, dance and sing among the trees.

Dear future niece or nephew,

We loved hiking, camping, biking, swimming and playing as kids together.

Dear Tomorrow

Stay Cool and Save the Whales

Dear future Child or Grandchild,

Climate is undeniably changing but it is not top priority.
